What is breathwork?
Our breath bridges the gap between our body, mind, and consciousness. When we breathe in a rhythmic and intentional way, we enter into an altered state of being that opens up space for what’s been stored in the body to be met and released. It is no secret that the body is able to remember and hold the experiences and wounds that we are not ready to feel. Practicing breathwork presents an opportunity for unresolved energy and emotions to come to the surface to be met with love.
Breathing in a deep and proportional way leads us into a profound resting state - this activates our parasympathetic nervous system, which supports the body’s innate healing ability and allows all of our systems to function more harmoniously.
And although breath work can help us to feel and process pain, it can also bring us to states of peace, euphoria, bliss, and transformation. Through breathing, we can tap into deeper intuition, a sense of freedom and unconditional love, guidance and inner knowing, and a remembrance about who we truly are.

I was 19 years old when I took my first journey to India and experienced the transformation that is Yoga. This practice changed my approach to life and way of being. Yoga lives in my cells and I honour the guidance that lead me to discover this practice which has put me on the path to my now.
I returned to India in 2019 with a wild spirit of curiosity and wonder. This 300hr training took me into my truth, providing me with clear visions of a life lived with deep purpose.
I did not know how things would unfold, but I knew I was on my right path. Years went on, I taught hundreds of hours worth of yoga, I practiced like it was the greatest joy of my life (because it was) and somewhere in my search to further understand my body, I went to school to become a Registered Massage Therapist and Reiki Practitioner. What a joy it was for me to learn about the intricate workings of these beautiful bodies we get to inhabit. This experience turned on a light to the intention behind my work :
I wish to support others to feel at home in their bodies and in connection with their spirit. Lokaya Wellness began in 2021 and my roots grew deeper into Saskatoon.
In 2022, I took the Awakened Healer Breathwork Training with my teacher, Engel Pherecydes. My life and my work shifted completely. With new understanding about breathing, it became woven into everything that I offer. In my eyes, breathing is medicine and can transform the quality of which we experience life.
With the intention to create meaningful experiences, I began offering yoga and breathwork retreats in the beautiful forest of Northern Saskatchewan. These have been a true source of fulfilment for me.
This work has allowed me to witness miracles, experience deep connections, and given me a foundation to embody the callings of my dharma.
Thank you for your receptivity in my offerings from retreats, to classes, to conscious events… I couldn’t do this without the willingness of the beautiful humans who wish to love and get to know themselves more.
